Special Abilities
Sunday Mornings
Our Special Abilities Wing is open every Sunday at the 9AM and 11AM services. Each week, we do our best to provide one-to-one buddies for each child, our VIPs (Valued with Incredible Purpose). All of our buddies are trained, and those over 18 are fingerprinted and background checked. During each service, we do a Bible lesson, watch a video, have integrated worship with other classes, and enjoy outside time on our adapted playground.
If you are interested in our 9AM or 11AM services, simply show up and we will accommodate your needs to the best of our ability – it is our joy to spend time with your children each week!
Buddy Integration is also an option for your child. If you desire, we will send a buddy with your child to any of the typical Sunday morning classrooms in children’s ministry, middle school ministry, or high school ministry. To connect your child with a buddy, please stop by Room 1300 before the start of the service.

THe A-TEAM
The A-Team is currently on pause; please reach out to us with questions or interest!
The A-Team is a Christ-centered, two-day adult program that runs from September to May from 9 am-3 pm on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays. The goal of this program is to encourage adults with social and intellectual disabilities to learn life skills, independence, enhance social communication, and participate in a variety of service projects at Calvary and in the community.

Buddy Break
Buddy Break is our once-a-month free respite event. We have volunteers sign up, and they are paired 1:1 with VIPs. During this event, there are games, crafts, toys, and activities to enjoy! Here are our Fall dates!

parent support group
Parent Support Group meets twice a month on the 2nd & 4th Wednesdays from 6:00 pm-7:15 pm. Free respite is provided by RSVP. For more information, please email hannah.wasmundt@calvarywestlake.org
ADVENTURE WEEKS
Adventure Weeks registration is not currently available.
Get ready for a summer full of fun for our VIPs! We offer two programs:
Adventure Weeks (AW) — for VIP campers 5 years old (entering Kindergarten in the fall) through age 13, packed with games, crafts, worship, pool time, and field trips.
Adventure Weeks Plus (AW+) — for VIP teens and young adults ages 14+, filled with pool time, crafts, field trips, and meaningful volunteer opportunities.
No matter the program, every day is designed for fun, friendship, faith, and adventure, with the support each VIP needs to fully enjoy each week.
