HSM ON Sundays

Join our growing High School Ministry on Sundays at 11am and 5pm  in the HSM Room or stream us on Youtube!  We believe that life change happens in relationship, God’s people delight in God’s Word, and it’s all about Jesus – so you can always expect an emphasis on great community, the truth of God’s word, and knowing Jesus!
 
New and curious students join us every week! No preregistration is required but if you want to connect with us before attending for your first time, we would love to help you get connected. Email us at hsm@calvarywestlake.org.

Small Groups

Small groups are where we teach high school students how to follow Jesus step by step. We do this by gathering on Tuesday or Wednesday nights in homes all over the Conejo Valley in gender-specific groups of 5-15 students. Group time involves studying the Bible, sharing about your life, and being challenged to take steps forward in your faith!

Life Change Happens In Relationship

International Mission Trips

We encourage students to take their next step in applying for one of our HSM mission trips. This Year, we are taking trips to Uganda and the Dominican Republic, and believe that this is our opportunity to take the Great Commission seriously in taking the Gospel throughout this world. Its All About JESUS

On Campus Ministry

We want students to not only engage with the church on Sundays, but to be actively involved in their school faith communities as well! A great way for students to do this is by attending their local Fellowship of Christian Athletes meeting. These meetings, called “Huddles”, gather weekly on campus and are a great opportunity for students to connect with others who can help them grow in their faith.

Parents: If you want to get involved in supporting your school’s FCA through prayer, providing food or logistical support, please email high school ministry on campus staff member J.D. Laske, and more at jd.laske@calvarywestlake.org.

Summer Camp

HSM Summer Camp is a week-long camp for students in grades 9-12, designed to give them the best summer ever. It is held at Hume SoCal in Green Valley Lake. Summer camp focuses on recreation, worship, and teaching, and we use this platform to encourage students to take their next steps with Jesus. Join us for an experience you’ll never forget!

Winter Camp

Every winter we have the opportunity to take students up to Hume Lake for winter camp, where we partake in a weekend of worship, recreation, and Biblical teaching. Winter camp is a perfect place to get away from normal life for a weekend, enjoy the beautiful campus of Hume lake, and even see snow if you’re lucky!

Winter Camp is January  15-18, 2027

 
 

Baptism

Baptism is a celebration that we are “Dead To Sin and Alive In Christ”!

Who Should Be Baptized?

In Scripture, the act of baptism quickly follows an individual’s decision to trust in Jesus Christ for salvation (Acts 2:37-41; 8:35-39;10:47-48).

After we have professed our faith in Jesus Christ for salvation, we are ready to obey Jesus’ command to be baptized and publicly identify ourselves as followers of Jesus Christ. We baptize high school students throughout the year in the Calvary adult and high school services, and we love celebrating with them!

Volunteer in HSM

Come serve with us! There are opportunities to serve on Sunday service with 11am or 5pm, HSM events, HSM tech and media team, and as a small group leader. Fill out the form and we will be in contact with you on how to best use your gifts to serve our high schoolers.

Day 1: Pray That They Will Know Jesus

Scripture to Read

“Now this is eternal life: that they know you, the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom you have sent.” John 17:3

Things to Remember

  1. Your greatest hope for your child is not simply that they are successful, safe, happy, or well behaved. It is that they know Jesus.
  2. You can teach them about God, bring them to church, and model faith for them, but only God can transform their heart.


Prayers to Pray

  1. Jesus, help them know You. Open their eyes to see who You are and draw them into a genuine relationship with You.
  2. Jesus, help them love You. May their faith become more than knowledge, tradition, or something inherited from our family.
  3. Jesus, help them follow You. Give them a lifelong desire to trust You, obey You, and walk with You.
