ACTION exists to share the love of Christ through acts of service that change lives and strengthen our communities. We accomplish this by mobilizing volunteers, churches, businesses and agencies to profoundly impact lives, families and communities with hope.

Acting as a catalyst to help raise awareness of needs in our communities, ACTION serves a network of over 80 churches and dozens of participating agencies and schools to meet needs.

Through four primary programs: Serve Day, Serve Every Day, ActionLink, and Community Christmas Shoppe, ACTION volunteers serve under-resourced families, seniors, veterans, and at-risk youth.

Putting our faith in action is our chance to share the gospel with our sleeves rolled up!

children's hunger fund

The mission of Children’s Hunger Fund is to deliver hope to suffering children by equipping local churches for gospel-centered mercy ministry. Over 1 billion people in the world live on less than $1.25 a day. Most lack access to one or more basic human needs: sufficient food, safe drinking water or adequate shelter.

For over 25 years, CHF has provided nourishing food for hungry kids across America and across the world. They distribute Food Packs and other aid through local churches so they can share hope to children and families in their communities. While nutritious food provides temporary relief of physical hunger, the life-giving truth of the gospel provides eternal hope and relief from spiritual poverty.

Harbor House is a social service agency dedicated to helping those who are most vulnerable.. We serve the homeless, hungry and poor by mobilizing the power of the local community.

Working with those that are in poverty means we are working with those who struggle with food and housing insecurity, unemployment, addiction, mental illness and abuse.

The Ventura County Rescue Mission serves the poor and homeless, offering hope to thousands of hurting people. It is the longest standing year-round shelter for homeless men in Ventura County.

The Lighthouse for Women and Children, serving homeless single women and women with children, established its Life Recovery program in 1998, offering a transitional living program that included a program for recovery from drug and alcohol addiction. In December of 2003, the Lighthouse established a year-round emergency shelter that also serves as an overflow shelter when the two domestic violence shelters in the County are full.

Today, with an overall capacity of 112 beds, the Lighthouse offers a full range of care specifically tailored to the needs of homeless women and children by offering shelter, intervention, substance abuse recovery, case management, education, life skills development, vocational training, employment, and transitional housing.
