Children's expansion

We are committed to decisively empowering the next generation to reach the world for Jesus. Our Family Ministries do this by partnering with parents to lead their children into a growing relationship with Jesus. Here are four ways we can grow our capacity to accomplish this mission at Calvary:

1. Expand Preschool Capacity

Our weekday Preschool has grown from eleven children when it launched in Fall of 2022 to nearly one hundred. Families who may never attend church are choosing Calvary for excellent education grounded in biblical values. The growth of our Preschool has been extraordinary, and on the current trajectory our classes will soon reach capacity. Expanding now by adding five classroom and worship spaces will allow us to serve the families God is bringing and establish Calvary as a beacon of hope in early childhood education.

2. Grow the early childhood ministry

Sunday mornings are bursting with young families eager to worship while their babies, toddlers, and preschoolers experience safe, loving ministry. Growing our Early Childhood Ministry means creating five additional dedicated spaces where our youngest members can begin their journey with Jesus. When we invest in Early Childhood, we’re helping build the spiritual foundation for the next generation.

3. FINISH THE ELEMENTARY MINISTRY FACILITY

Elementary children are at a critical stage. At this age, children are old enough to understand the Gospel and make genuine commitments to follow Jesus. Finishing this facility means creating a new, expanded and secure entrance, a new classroom, upgraded technology, and enhancing existing spaces for their spiritual growth. We want this to be the most compelling place in the Conejo Valley for an elementary-aged child to be!

4. MULTIPLY THE SPECIAL ABILITIES MINISTRY IMPACT

God has given Calvary a unique calling to minister to children and families affected by disability. Our Special Abilities Ministry has become a model for churches nationwide. Multiplying our impact means expanding our dedicated facility by adding two specialized rooms and outdoor playground equipment for this growing ministry. When we invest in this ministry, we’re proclaiming that every child is made in the image of God and is an indispensable part of our church family.

Day 1: Pray That They Will Know Jesus

Scripture to Read

“Now this is eternal life: that they know you, the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom you have sent.” John 17:3

Things to Remember

  1. Your greatest hope for your child is not simply that they are successful, safe, happy, or well behaved. It is that they know Jesus.
  2. You can teach them about God, bring them to church, and model faith for them, but only God can transform their heart.

Prayers to Pray

  1. Jesus, help them know You. Open their eyes to see who You are and draw them into a genuine relationship with You.
  2. Jesus, help them love You. May their faith become more than knowledge, tradition, or something inherited from our family.
  3. Jesus, help them follow You. Give them a lifelong desire to trust You, obey You, and walk with You.
