THE LORD’S COMPASSION

To read today:  Luke 15:1-7

The Lord your God is with you, the Mighty Warrior who saves. He will take great delight in you; in his love he will no longer rebuke you but will rejoice over you with singing.

Zephaniah 3:17

Despite the warning of judgment, Zephaniah also spoke of the Lord’s compassion and mercy. In Zephaniah 3:17, we read that the Lord is in our midst and will rejoice over us with singing. The message of Zephaniah was not just one of judgment, but also hope. The Lord called the people of Judah to repent and return to Him, promising He would restore them and be with them.

Let us take comfort in the Lord’s compassion and mercy. No matter how far we have strayed from Him, He is always ready to forgive and restore us. May we always remember the Lord’s love for us and seek to live in a way that brings Him glory.

Final Thought:  Reflect on how God has shown you compassion and seek to share that same compassion with people in your life.
