We want to thank you for your patience as we have navigated and flexed to the best of our abilities over the past year. Spotlight will still be on furlough until further notice.

We are still planning for a Frozen, Jr. show in the SPRING of 2022.  Of course, we will be looking to our state and local authorities for clarity before we gather together so that we can do so safely and confidently.

In the meantime, stay tuned for smaller scale opportunities. If you have any questions please email us at

What is Spotlight?

Spotlight is Calvary’s Creative Arts Academy for 2nd grade through High School students. Spotlight’s mission is to be a place for youth to explore the arts, develop skills, enhance their faith, and use their creative talents, all while having a blast!

Children’s Choir: Kindergarten – 2nd Grade

The Children’s Choir is for students Kindergarten – 2nd Grade. They perform for special services and holiday services at Calvary. This is a great opportunity for young students to grow in their understanding and love for music and for Jesus.

Production: 2nd – 12th Grade

Every Spring, Spotlight produces a musical at Calvary. All children from 2nd through 12th grade are welcome to join. The production will be full of opportunities for your children to grow in faith, excel in their craft, and have some fun in the process!

Rehearsals are typically held on Monday evenings and Saturday afternoons.

Spotlight Videos

While the main focus of Spotlight has been its main stage productions, time has been devoted to developing the children’s skills in front of a camera. During the pandemic, it was an opportunity to keep Spotlight alive. Many videos were galvanized by the main stage productions while others were inspired by worship songs and Scripture. Click here to see samples of the videos.

Are you interested in helping out with the production?

We would love to talk to you! We would love to have your help with the production, whether you have years of industry experience or simply a passion for theater and for kids to grow in their faith.

If you are involved (or know someone who is) with any aspect of creative arts either by profession or hobby, we would love to connect with you. We are looking for (but not limited to) vocal and acting coaches, choreography instructors/dancers, music producers, script writers, costumers, hair/make-up artists, set designers/builders, marketing support, cast support/events, student discipleship, ministry outreach/serve opportunities, volunteer coordination, production assistant and other creative/technical/performing arts gifts.
