Small Groups

Our small group ministry we call “Tribes” will be meeting on Sunday evenings rather than Wednesday’s.  Tribes are on break until early January and  will meet on Sunday evenings at 6:00-7:15pm.

Families and students not yet comfortable with meeting in-person have the option to choose a Tribe that continues to meet over Zoom for the fall.

Students who do come to campus are asked to bring a mask and bible each week as they discuss how the gospel of Jesus Christ changes everything about their lives.

Worship Services

Our worship services are being moved from the weekend to Wednesday evenings starting October 14th from 7:00-8:15pm on the MSM Patio.  Join us to connect with other students, play games, and worship God together through music and biblical teaching.  Masks are required but pre-registration is not.  

Starting November 1st the 11am Sunday service will be meeting on the grass near the olive trees in front of the church.

For those not yet comfortable meeting in-person, we will continue to post our worship service video to our Calvary MSM YouTube channel.  These videos are posted each Saturday afternoon.

Each service we have new students joining us for the first time, so you aren’t alone if you haven’t been to MSM before!  Find any of our leaders wearing an MSM T-shirt or badge to get connected.  

Baptisms

We believe that baptism is an important step in declaring our faith. Baptism is a way for you to publicly display your devotion to a life of following Jesus. Baptism celebrates us being dead to sin and alive in Christ.

Baptism is a similar symbol to a wedding ring.  If someone’s wedding ring falls off, that does not end their marriage! The ring is a symbol to the covenantal commitment two people have made to each other.  In the same way, baptism is a symbol of the commitment and celebration you have in following Christ. 

We hold baptisms throughout the year in multiple environments including the Worship Center, the middle school room, and the beach. If you are interested in learning more about baptism, contact Connor Johnson at connor.johnson@calvarywestlake.org.

Summer Camp

Calvary MSM Summer Camp is the best week of the year for any incoming 6th, 7th and 8th grade students.  We head to Angeles Crest Christian Camp for an adventure of seeking Jesus together.  Filled with outdoor summer activities, incredible worship, and rooted in biblical teaching, we strive for our students to not only grow in their relationship with God, but also in their friendship with one another.  We always say, if you only join Calvary MSM for one event, make sure it is summer camp!  Come along with us for an experience you’ll never forget!
