It’s all about Jesus. We read earlier this week that all things were made by Him and for Him. Therefore, everything we are and everything we have is for His glory. When I consider this truth, I recognize that my family, house, material possessions, job, health, and present and future are all from Him and for Him.

Over the years, I’ve heard many suggestions about worship music. Some have said the music is too loud, others say it’s too soft.  Some suggest we need more hymns. Others suggest we sing certain songs they love. Ultimately, we come to sing songs that will bless the Lord. The heart of Calvary’s worship is to play to an audience of one and bring everyone into that.

In the song “Heart of Worship,” we are reminded that at the very core of our singing – it’s all about Jesus. And yet, the lyrics take it a step further than singing.

“I’ll bring You more than a song

For a song in itself

Is not what You have required

You search much deeper within

Through the ways things appear

You’re looking into my heart”

The Lord is looking at our hearts. Living lives of obedience is our spiritual act of worship. 

Final Thought:  Pray that you can live out your life today in a pleasing and honoring way to Him. Where and how are you directing your resources today? Where does He need you to jump in and serve someone else? Your time? Your talents? Your treasure? It all belongs to Him and is for Him.
