GOD MEANT IT FOR GRACE
To read today: Matthew 19:1-12
For this reason a man will leave his father and mother and be united to his wife, and the two will become one flesh.

Some of life’s most exciting and challenging times have involved marriage, children, and relationships with one’s family and upbringing. These relationships, unfortunately, can be the source of some of the worst pain, difficulty, and messiness. However, this was not God’s design. When the Pharisees challenged Jesus about divorce (they intended to trap Him on this controversial and tough topic), He focused on the unifying foundation that God intended marriage and family to be. God’s grace is to be experienced and extended in practical ways in the family structure. The messiness of family is because family is made up of messy people (including you and me). God wants us to see His grace in the middle of the messiness of family. After all, He has given you His grace.
Reflection: Be the one in your family who extends grace to others because God has extended it to you.
