EVERYONE NEEDS JESUS
How, then, can they call on the one they have not believed in? And how can they believe in the one of whom they have not heard? And how can they hear without someone preaching to them? And how can anyone preach unless they are sent? As it is written: How beautiful are the feet of those who bring good news!
Romans 10:14-15

I thank God that Mark Ainley convinced me to go to a church camp when I was a sophomore in high school. Dr. Bill Boice cared enough about me to explain how much Jesus loved me and wanted a personal relationship with me. They gave me the “good news.” They brought me to an understanding where I could consciously decide to live for Jesus. I came to faith because they cared enough to speak into my life, so I am forever grateful!
We all need good news! We all need Jesus! Everyone in this world needs a faith relationship with Jesus. Everyone needs His salvation, or they are eternally lost. Thousands of people around us have ignored God and gone their own way. As a result, they are separated from God, both now and for eternity.
Romans 10:17 says, “…faith comes from hearing the message and the message is heard through the word of Christ.” If you’re a follower of Jesus, I’m sure you have memories of those who loved you enough to share Christ with you. We come to Christ through hearing the truth. It’s the “truth that sets us free.” Let me encourage you to consider the people around you who need to know Jesus.
Reflection: Develop a list of people in your sphere of influence who don’t know Jesus. Pray for their salvation every day.
