Gifted and caring volunteers help bring the message of Jesus to life every week in Calvary Kids. Whether you’re an adult or a student, you’ll be placed in a role that fits your unique gifts and availability. You can serve in Early Childhood (Birth–5 years old) or Elementary (Kindergarten–5th Grade). As you serve, you’ll build meaningful connections—with kids, families, and fellow volunteers—while making a lasting impact in the lives of the next generation.
We especially love when parents serve, because we believe kids should see their families modeling what it means to follow Jesus and serve others.

Volunteering FAQs – Jump In and Make a Difference!
Q: What kind of volunteer opportunities do you have?
A: We have two main ways you can get involved in Calvary Kids:
1) Sunday Morning Services – Be part of the fun during our 9:00 AM or 11:00 AM services, serving children from birth through 5th grade!
2) Calvary Kids Groups – Lead a small group of awesome kids (4 years old through 5th grade) on Wednesday nights from 5:30–7:15 PM, September through March.
Whether you’re rocking babies or leading a group of high-energy elementary kids, there’s a place for you!
Q: How often would I need to serve?
A: Totally up to you! You can serve regularly or just when your schedule allows.
We do ask that Elementary and Early Childhood volunteers serve at least twice a month, but we’re all about flexibility. During your training, you’ll fill out a form to let us know what works best for you.
We’re here to support you and make serving a joy, not a stress.
Q: What safety requirements do I need to complete?
A: Because we care deeply about providing a safe and secure environment for our kids, all volunteers 18 and older are required to complete a background check and fingerprinting, as well as Mandated Reporter Training.
No need to worry — Calvary covers the cost and will guide you through the simple process. It’s just one more way we help protect the kids and families we serve!
Q: Do you offer volunteer training?
A: Yes! We want you to feel confident and equipped to serve well. Our required training gives you a solid foundation, whether you’re brand new or a seasoned pro.
Early Childhood Training: EC Training is the 3rd week at 10am to 11am in the Early Childhood area, just swing by the front desk.
Elementary Training: 4th Sunday of each month, 10:15–11:00 AM (Room 2110)

Q: Do I still need to attend training if I’ve worked with kids before?
A: Yes—we ask all volunteers to go through our most recent training, even if you’ve done this before. It ensures we’re all on the same page and ready to serve our Calvary Kids with excellence (and fun!).
Q: How old do I need to be to volunteer?
A: Junior Volunteers, we see you!
We welcome volunteers in Early Childhood starting in 7th grade and up. If you’re a middle schooler, you’ll just need to serve alongside a parent or guardian. Elementary Volunteers must be in 9th grade or older.
