Build Each Other Up
Read today:
Now I commit you to God and to the word of his grace, which can build you up and give you an inheritance among all those who are sanctified.
Acts 20:32
Just about every country in the world has financial banking. For the most part, people utilize the banking system. We entrust the bank with protecting and even growing our money. Banks also provide avenues of security by which we make purchases and receive funds. We are giving up our finances in a relationship of trust to the bank. As believers, we should have this same type of commitment to God – and even deeper.
Paul told the Ephesian elders that he committed them to God. The word committed literally means “a deposit as a trust for protection.” The example we have from Paul is to pray for one another. Pray for each other with the thought of depositing our brothers and sisters into the trust of the God of the universe. Praying that God will protect them and grow them (sanctify them, i.e., make them holy). As we embark on Vision 2030, it is critical that we commit each other to God in prayer.
FOR TODAY: Pray for 3 people you know at Calvary. Pray that God will protect and grow them.
