Shall we accept good from God, and not trouble?
Job not only understands that everything good comes from God, but also the bad things. In order to have a proper view on suffering and joy, we must see how all things come from God. It will not do to blame Satan for Job’s pain, though he was the one who inflicted the pain. God very clearly allowed Satan to do what he did. In God’s sovereign will, this pain came upon Job and his family.
We must be willing to accept that even in the trials of life, God knows exactly what He is doing. We have heard it said that everything in your life and in this world is “Father-filtered.” That means God, in His sovereignty and wisdom, allowed that pain into your life for your good and for His glory. It is not necessary for us to understand everything about this concept for us to worship Him.
Take a moment to worship God for working all things for your good and His glory.
