There are days when we encounter difficult people. Sometimes those people can be us. We all have our days. Jesus is the perfect example of how to live our lives. He walked this earth as a kind, compassionate, gentle, humble man. As followers of Christ, we want to strive to be more like Jesus every day.

Christians are instructed to live in a manner that reflects our identity as God’s children. He encourages us to show compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness, and patience towards one another, even when it is difficult. Paul stresses in this passage the importance of forgiveness. We are urged to forgive others as God has forgiven them. Paul emphasizes that love is the unifying force behind all these virtues. Love binds us together and makes us effective in building relationships.

May we love those around us as Jesus does. Your love, kindness, and compassion will put a smile on someone’s face.

Reflection: I encourage you today to show compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness, and patience to someone who takes an extra measure of grace. May the God of love be your driving force.
